A rod welded to the shaft of a motor that rotates once every 60 seconds plucks a string once per minute. The motor is also connected to shafts that rotate once every 60 minutes and once every 12 hours. These gradually wind the string, slowly increasing its tension over time. Although the change in tension is minimal, subtle variations emerge in the sound produced by the string each minute. By listening closely, one can perceive the gradual shift in tension through these sonic differences.
